Course Abstract
This course has been approved for 0.5 continuing education clock hours by TSHA. TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products or clinical procedures.
This course consists of slides viewed at the participant's pace. Successful completion of the course requires a passing grade on the imbedded quiz at the end of the presentation.
This course will define autism and the range of diagnosis as well as provide a high level discussion of treatment options and methodology through lecture, group exercise and demonstration.
Course Learning Objectives
- Participants will have the ability to distinguish between autistic tendencies and a true autism diagnosis.
- Participants will be able to identify methodology used to determine an autism diagnosis.
- Participants will be able to demonstrate at least 3 strategies to address autistic characteristics in a treatment session.
