Course Abstract
This course has been approved for 0.5 continuing education clock hours by TSHA. TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products or clinical procedures.
This course consists of slides viewed at the participant's pace. Successful completion of the course requires a passing grade on the imbedded quiz at the end of the presentation.
This course will provide an overview of how to utilize visual tools to enhance outcomes of therapy through lecture, small group presentations and demonstration.
Course Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to identify how to use visuals to increase comprehension and memory skills.
- Participants will be able to use written/visual schedules to manage behavior.
- Participants will describe how PECS (picture exchange communication system) improves communication in therapy services.
