Course Abstract

This course has been approved by TSHA for 1.0 continuing education [1 Ethics] clock hours. TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products or clinical procedures.
This course consists of slides viewed at the participant's pace. Successful completion of the course requires a passing grade on the imbedded quiz at the end of the presentation.
This course will educate participants on the necessity of establishing and maintaining professional boundaries. It will review codes of ethics as they pertain to boundaries, discuss boundary violation scenarios and provide potential responses to correct a violation of boundaries.

Course Learning Objectives

  • List 3 common boundary challenges that therapists face frequently.
  • List 3 questions to ask yourself to determine if an activity might be outside of common boundary expectations.
  • List 3 actions you could take if you think your boundaries are in jeopardy.
