Course Abstract
This course does not qualify for submission to TSHA for continuing education clock hours. However, it is valuable, annually required training for most agencies.
This course consists of slides viewed at the participant's pace. Successful completion of the course requires a passing grade on the imbedded quiz at the end of the presentation.
This course describes the types of fire extinguisher, how to use a fire extinguisher and the role that smoke alarms play in the survival of a fire.
Course Learning Objectives
- To identify the 2 most common types of fire extinguishers found in homes and businesses.
- To identify the 4 steps to follow when using a fire extinguisher.
- To identify the US Fire Administration recommendations for proper smoke alarm maintenance and placement.
