Course Abstract

TThis course is part of a regulatory requirement by healthcare providers to be completed upon hire and annually thereafter, specific products or clinical procedures.
This course consists of slides viewed at the participant's pace. Successful completion of the course requires a passing grade on the imbedded quiz at the end of the presentation.
This course describes and educates all home health therapists to potential emergencies and personal safety issues to be aware of when working in the field.

Course Learning Objectives

  • To identify the 2 most common natural disaster likely to occur in our area.
  • To identify at least 4 things you should do/have for your personal safety.
  • To identify what SNAP is.
  • To identify the 4 emergency classifications of patients.
  • To identify 3 expectations associated with an emergency preparedness drill.
